Your Christmas Trees New Life

As the holidays come to an end and you are breaking down all the decorations around the house, you dump your Christmas tree. You might think of replanting your tree for next year if it's potted or you can just dump it in the woods to decompose. Today we're going to tell you about a new way to dispose of your tree, turning it into food.

That's right, you can turn your Christmas tree into food. Every year when the holidays are ending, you might hear farmers asking families to donate their tree to the farm. This is because it can be fed to farm animals and it's actually great for them!

Pine can provide a great source of fiber, antioxidants and other trace nutrients for goats and sheep. It's also good for controlling worms and a nice boost of vitamin C. Although this treat might make your livestock jump to the moon, not all pine is safe to eat, do some research on the varieties. Also farmers need to be sure there aren't any pesticides or harmful chemicals on the trees before feeding.

If you were looking for a new way to recycle or upscale we hope you found this piece helpful. We wish everyone a wonderful new year and a great end to the holidays.
